It's interesting to compare the above cartoon with this one by American cartoonist Mark Streeter, which uses the same idea but illustrates an important difference between British and American editorial cartoons. In Britian, editorial cartoons tend to be more artistic and often resemble real works of art, whereas in the US, they tend to be cruder and more like sketches.
